But He Didn’t ‘Rape’ Anyone, So It’s Okay

The government of Nigeria indicted Dick Cheney as part of its ongoing investigation of $180 million in bribes paid by Halliburton to the Nigerian government when Cheney was Halliburton’s CEO.  But don’t worry, our ever-capable government has investigated that matter and found nothing untoward:

Terrence O’Donnell, a lawyer representing Cheney, denied the allegations.

“The Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission investigated that joint venture extensively and found no suggestion of any impropriety by Dick Cheney in his role of CEO of Halliburton,” O’Donnell’s said in a statement sent to The Associated Press.” Any suggestion of misconduct on his part, made now, years later, is entirely baseless.”

Well, glad that’s settled! And I bet you Interpol is not going to care, or issue any arrest warrants over this either. After all, there are sexual assaults in Sweden to investigate!
