In response to my blog of a couple of days ago pointing out that the new Iraqi constititution establishes Islam as the state religion, Bill from Kansas sent me the following headline from the front page of the Sept. 28 Wall Street Journal:
“Targets of Violence. Iraqi Christians are fleeing their country, and they’re taking their politically moderate, socially liberal, largely pro-Western leanings with them.”
Bin Laden hated Hussein because his regime, as totalitarian as it was, was NOT an Islamic theocracy. Now that it is, courtesy of the Bush administration, does anyone doubt that Bin Laden prefers the current form of government in Iraq to the former?
