Michael Gerson writes: “The success of the surge has achieved some extraordinary things — not only the possibility of peace in Iraq but also a convergence in American politics.”
Convergence indeed. Permanent dominance of the radical left suits the neocons fine, so long as somebody, somewhere, is willing to confirm their disastrous assertions.
As we gaze upon our new messiah and Hillary his handmaid, we can ponder these words of Gerson’s secular scripture:
“The cost of this success has been high for America, and some may argue it has not been worth the price. But it is still a success.”
