Taxpayers vent anger at meeting
“The taxpayer revolt continued to gain steam Saturday morning as roughly 370 area residents gathered in a Blasdell banquet hall for a meeting held by Free Buffalo, a new taxpayer advocacy group dedicated to government accountability and shaking up an entrenched political system.
“Leaders with Free Buffalo and its sister organization, Primary Challenge, drew on words that hearkened back to the American Revolution and raised images of taxpayers grabbing a fat and mangy government dog and shaking it by the scruff.
“‘Government is a machine that grows until another force stops it,'” said Jim Ostrowski, a North Buffalo lawyer.”
