Buckle Up for the Police State

In one small city, Myrtle Beach, SC, police gave out 1,500 tickets in 2010 to people not wearing a seatbelt. Support your local police? How could any freedom lover do such a thing? With cops carrying out a war on personal freedom (to use drugs in the privacy of your home, to drive without being stopped at a checkpoint, to not wear a seatbelt, etc.), is it even possible for a libertarian to be a cop?

If you are a libertarian cop please write to me and tell me how you do your job without waging war on personal freedom. I am seriously open to any insight you can give me and any explanation except “I am just enforcing the law.”
