“By the way, it is refreshing to attend social functions and hear people discovering and talking about Ron Paul. I’m a contrarian, so it is natural for me to start a conversation with my Democrat friends by saying, ‘I’m voting republican this year.’ It immediately grabs their attention and I’ll get a look of shock. But when I go on to explain Ron Paul and his principles, people nod and many have even heard about him and leave wanting to learn more. The established media and party-mongers better start mentally preparing themselves for a Jesse Ventura-esque experience in November 2008.
“If ever there were a longshot to bet on at the race track, that horse’s name would be Ron Paul.
“There is a handicapping strategy that involves looking at the exacta bets for ‘”hidden’ horses who’s straight odds are poor, yet they are reflected in the exacta money being wagered. The hidden indicator in this election is going to be the internet. As a bettor, I wouldn’t hesitate one bit to put money down on Rep.
