State radio this morning featured a fawning interview with the authors of the latest neocon tract. We are stuck with the moniker neocon, just as they are. But really, with their glorification of war and the state, their calls for vastly more executive power and suppression of civil liberties–not to speak of their love for the all-embracing regulatory-welfare state–these guys bear some resemblance to colored-shirt movements of the last century. What’s next? A chorus of la giovinezza?
