Bogus Airport ‘Security’

Flying back from Europe recently I had a stopover in Frankfurt, Germany.  A United Airlines employee told me that before I could approach the gate I had to answer some “security” questions.  They turned out to be the same dumb questions that they used to ask prior to 9/11:  “Did anyone give you anything to put in your luggage?, etc.  Same asinine bureaucracy, same asinine questions, same waste of everyone’s time.  As though a terrorist would answer, “Oh yeah, Mohammed gave me an alarm clock with lots and lots of wires sticking out of it.” (With sincere apologies to NPR).
