Blue-state fascism

Anyone who thinks the Democratic party’s attacks on Bushian statism means that the Democrats are moving toward libertarianism should read the Senate Democratic leaders’ letter to ABC asking them to remove materials unflattering to the Clinton administration from the network’s docudrama on the events leading up to 9-11. The Democrats make a not so veiled threat to ABC by reminding them of the network’s “. . .civic responsibility to the law,” and that “The Communications Act of 1934 provides your network with a free broadcast license predicated on the fundamental understanding of your principle obligation to act as a trustee of the public airwaves in serving the public interest. . .”
