Bill of Rights Litigation in Nevada

What great news that the Nevada Policy Research Institute has set up a Center for Justice and Constitutional Litigation, and hired Joe Becker as director and chief litigator. Joe, who studied Austrian economics under Murray Rothbard and Hans Hoppe at UNLV before going to law school, has also been a public-interest lawyer and worked for Ron Paul as a congressional aide and general counsel of his presidential campaign. When asked what kind of litigation he might favor, Joe said free speech cases such as defending Hoppe, when PC forces tried to silence him, and a businessman, who wanted his employees to speak English on the job. Joe jokes that since 1791, only one provision of the Bill of Rights has not been violated by the federal government—the prohibition against quartering troops in private homes—so he has a wide scope. And I’m not so sure they won’t quarter troops on us, too. And maybe TSA agents. Only terrorsymps could oppose such a national security measure. (Thanks to Deanna Forbush)
