Britain Plans to Phase Out the Paper Check

Paper checks first. Then paper currency will be next. And then finally credit cards.

What’s the replacement? The “security” of having a microchip implanted in your forearm that will take the place of credit cards—and there’s nothing you will be able to do about it because merchants won’t even accept credit cards eventually. (Do any merchants accept gold or silver coins rather than checks/paper currency/credit cards for payment in today’s world?)

Not that any of the above three payment methods represent anything of value anymore anyway. (Certainly not in the United States since 1970.)
