Pres. Barack M. Nixon Joins the ‘WikiLeaks Leaks Are a Criminal Act’ Bandwagon

Wasn’t it just a few hours ago that I reported that a Republican warmongering fascist in Congress wanted to declare WikiLeaks a terrorist organization? It looks like George W. Bush II—or, in this case, Richard M. Nixon II—has now declared that the leaks were a crime. Gee, I wonder what Pres. “Hope and Change” would call his ordering of murderous drone attacks on innocent civilians in Pakistan? Oh, I know—“freedom fighting.”

Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.” — Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr

UPDATE: Matt Wittemann sent the following “Down the Memory Hole” words from Pres. Barack M. Nixon the day after he took office:

“The way to make government responsible is to hold it accountable. And the way to make government accountable is make it transparent so that the American people can know exactly what decisions are being made, how they’re being made, and whether their interests are being well served.

…For a long time now, there’s been too much secrecy in this city…That era is now over. Starting today, every agency and department should know that this administration stands on the side not of those who seek to withhold information but those who seek to make it known.”
