Austro-Facebook

I had to be dragged onto Facebook kicking and screaming.  Before I knew it, I had hit the 5,000-friend limit.  The only way around it is to have a fan page, where an unlimited number of people can follow your posts.  A fan had set up such a page for Lew Rockwell long before he hit the magic number on his personal account, and now Lew uses the LR fan page as his main posting outlet on FB.  I myself hit the limit long after Lew did, and at that point, in addition to my personal account I asked to take over the Thomas E. Woods page someone had set up.  (This all sounds a lot more narcissistic than it really is.)  Lots of good discussions have ensued on these pages.

There are fan pages for lots of LRC and Mises.org folks, in fact, including Joe Salerno, Mark Thornton, Guido Hülsmann, Tom DiLorenzo, Hans Hoppe, Walter Block, Bob Murphy, and of course Murray Rothbard, Ludwig von Mises, and the other greats.

I might also mention the FB page for my Campbell University talk this Tuesday night.  It costs ten smackers, but includes dinner.  Can’t beat that.  RSVP!
