Atlantic City Hilton Casino gets $115K fine for allowing teen to gamble
Regulators have imposed the second-largest fine for underage gambling in the city’s 31-year history of casino gaming. The Atlantic City Hilton Casino Resort must pay $115,000 for allowing a 19 year old to gamble to the point where he became a rated player and was given a free hotel room.
I remember back in the early 1970s (during the Vietnam War) that the logic for lowering the voting age from 21 to 18 was that if 18-year olds were old enough to die for their country, then they were old enough to vote in order to have a say in what their country does.
Why this same logic doesn’t apply to everything else that 18-year olds are forbidden to do until they are 21 is beyond me.10:59 pm on August 6, 2009 Email David Kramer
