The mainstream media failed to report massive demonstrations for the existing government (see here and here and here) on July 1 and July 8. I’d like anyone who can read Arabic or knows Libya to see if there is internal evidence in the videos that these were for real. If they were not, satellite photos could easily have shown them to be false. NATO has produced no such evidence. Therefore, the presumption is that they are genuine.
Susan Lindauer reports on very shocking videos that are supposed to be of rebel atrocities of many kinds. Their description is enough for me — I won’t watch them. Compare this to the official U.S. recognition of the rebels as the governing authority of Libya.
