Barack Obama says that Illinois Governor Blagojevich has no choice but to resign his office. Nonsense! The governor could declare war on Wisconsin and send national guard troops to defend the interests of his state! And who could expect a commander-in-chief to resign – or be voted out of office – in wartime? Such thinking worked for FDR, did it not?
