If you dissent from the official establishment view of the world and challenge a shred of the status quo, you suffer from a paranoia disorder, according the the Wall Street Journal‘s Thomas Frank. In fact, paranoia is apparent if you think the U.S. is turning toward fascism or communism, or if you question the Federal Reserve, public school indoctrination, or the swine flu hysteria.
The great thing about the Internet, and a blog such as the LewRockwell.com blog, is that every single absurd or far-fetched news item brought up on the blog, about the above topics (and all else), is nicely backed up by links providing the articles, audio, or video that supports the episode under discussion. As we like to say here on the blog, “You can’t make this stuff up.” Yet even with all of that information available right at one’s fingertips (hint: Internet), anyone challenging the existing state of affairs is said to be a tin foil hat-wearing conspiracy theorist whacko. How can people like Thomas Frank be so incredibly and embarrassingly stupid and unaware? Well, he isn’t — he’s just taken on the occupation of being a shill for the ruling class and its media whores.
