Anthrophobes vs. Globalization

Writes Sean Corrigan: “A rather nasty, anti-human bunch of British greens has just released another ‘plague species’ Malthusian polemic telling us just how ‘unsustainable’ our current lifestyle is. What they don’t seem to realize is that they have actually presented a powerful argument in favour of free trade and the wonders of comparative advantage since they assert that if Britain were instead to become ‘sustainable’ and live only on locally produced resources, then either the population would have to halve or the existing inhabitants would need to become as poor as the average Botswanan.

“Here’s to ‘globalization’, I say – though I don’t suppose the chatering classes will draw such an obvious, pro-capitalist conclusion from this alarmist clap-trap.”
