MSNBC is telling us this morning of a proposed vaccine that would deal with three types of flu. Having terrified Boobus with a threatened swine flu pandemic, such a proposal is likely to draw widespread support (I wonder if it could also take care of global warming?).
The news report informed us that such a vaccine would, however, cost “billions of dollars.” In Obama’s era of “sacrifice,” could the pharmaceutical companies be persuaded to undertake such an expensive project, at their own expense, in order to serve the “public interest?” If not, who would be in a position to give that kind of money to the pharmaceutical companies to develop such a vaccine? Hmmmmm.10:09 am on May 6, 2009 Email Butler Shaffer
