Why is so much criticism being directed at Bernie Madoff – who is to be criticized – while ignoring the far more extensive damage done to us all by the likes of Greenspan, Bernanke, and the other wizards at the Fed? Is Madoff – even if not innocent of wrongdoing – to be the scapegoat for an entire politically-driven system whose wrongs must be shielded from public view?
