Like Elwood McQuaid, consulting editor for the Friends of Israel, I am a premillennial dispensationalist. But unlike Elwood McQuaid, I am not a warmonger who thinks that Iran is Nazi Germany and God needs the United States to protect Israel from Iran. McQuaid writes: “While the threat of being nuked by Iran dangles over Israeli heads, Western leaders dither away opportunities to stop it in favor of ineffectual sanctions and diplomatic gab sessions disguised as meaningful negotiations.” McQuaid is a warvangelical. Even if Iran were building a nuke, which the entire U.S. intelligence community says it is not, is there a threat to Israel right now hanging over its head? Of course not. And what about the threat to other countries from Israel’s 200 nukes? McQuaid would cheer if the U.S. launched a war against Iran. He is a threat to American soldiers who will die for another lie in another cakewalk.
