A news story reports that last weekend’s big terrorist threat to New York’s subway system was a hoax arising from false information provided by a man – apparently from Pakistan – who also admitted to providing false information concerning another individual. As the young boy said to “Shoeless Joe” Jackson during the famous “Black Sox” scandal: “say it ain’t so, Joe.”
After years of lies, deceptions, and hoaxes originating from the state, it may be time for parents to insist upon having their children read two classic works: “The Emperor’s New Clothes” and “Chicken Little.”
