From a soldier and LRC reader:
Dear sir,
I am a soldier in the National Guard, I have deployed to Iraq twice. Luckily in those two deployments I never had to pull a trigger except on a range. . . . As a soldier I am tired of seeing us used overseas for wars that have no necessity but to line the pockets of contractors and politicians. We should be as small a force as possible to defend our freedom from outward aggression, not to be an expeditionary force to enslave all that we can. Keep doing the good that you are doing. I only hope I can find the courage someday to leave the military, but being there I have been able to sway some to the side of liberty.
Your friend in Liberty,
