And maybe — just maybe — there is no “terrorism” at all here

The latest in the cellphone caper in Michiganis that there is no connection to “terrorist” groups. Maybe, just maybe, that is because the young men arrested were engaged in legitimate commerce and were doing what is called buying low and selling high.

Local prosecutors claim the young men were going to “target” the Mackinac Bridge between Lower and Upper Michigan. My guess is that they took pictures of the bridge, which obviously means that anyone of Middle Eastern origin who takes pictures of bridges does so because he intends to blow it up. Once again, we see prosecutors running amok, making charges out the wazoo, and convincing all of us that they are “fighting crime.”

My fear is that the young men will be so boxed in that they will be forced to plead guilty to “crimes” they never committed. That is the way of modern Amerikan justice. In my writings, I used to target just federal prosecutors, but now I realize that the entire profession is composed of liars and crooks. Yes, there are honest and decent people among prosecutors, but my guess is that they are in the vast minority.
