I have been informed that my previous blog misinterpreted the nature of Peter Brimelow’s comments about Tom Woods and the Mises Institute. Not being familiar with his writing, I took his article literally rather than facetiously, as was his apparent intent. In an age in which a literal, factual report is the most effective way of satirizing the absurdity of politics – a talent Jon Stewart has developed – it is sometimes easy to get caught looking the wrong way. I did, and I apologize for my misreading his article.
