Here is an e-mail I sent to Amnesty International, in response to a request for contributions I received today:
“My wife and I have been supporters of the fine work of Amnesty International, and we would like to continue that support as we near the end of the year 2010. Before doing so, however, we want to know whether Amnesty intends to come to the support of Julian Assange and his WikiLeaks organization. When we read or hear, publicly, of Amnesty’s defense of this brave man, we will send you another contribution.
