Lehr Duquesne suggests to me the term “academia” for rule by experts. Based on his suggestion, I coin the term ACADEMARCHY to mean a government in which rule is by experts.
I searched google for this term and found only one entry with the word “academarch.” I do not suggest clicking on it as it contains a virus threat. Therefore, I’m quite confident that academarchy is a new word to express a new idea. A google search on rule by experts turns up two books on the rule of experts. See here and here. American government is a combination of republic, democratic socialist, corporativist-fascist, totalitarian democracy, and academarchy.
