A Winning Trifecta by the Late Gore Vidal

I strongly recommend that you read (in chronological order) the first three historical novels by the recently-deceased, great author Gore Vidal: Burr, Lincoln: A Novel, and 1876. In Burr, you will be amazed at how small and open the Federal government in Washington D.C. was in the first years of this country. In Lincoln: A Novel, Vidal exposed this “darling” of both the right and left as the murderous dictator that he really was. Of course, Establishment “historians” took Vidal to task for this, but Vidal never backed down on the dark facts (which we are never taught in our government-run public schools) that he exposed in his book.
