I’ve been a reader for about five years, and I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your wonderful site.  I became aprised of the nature of the State in 2007, when I began reading Martin van Creveld as a military history student. I found your site shortly afterwards, and since that time I have graduated as an anti-war military history student, paid off my student loans, avoided a PhD, been chased by Census Bureau employees, hoarded precious metals, gone primal, and planned to self-publish an autobiography early next year. In short, I’m much better off, thanks to the wisdom of LRC and its writers. Tomorrow I’ll be elected mayor of a flouride-free, tax-free small town, and I hope to be able to use the platform to further the cause of liberty in some small way.
