A Child’s View of the Police State

A teacher writes: “I was grading a student’s paper last night (4th grade) and was disheartened when he included a sentence about clearing airport security before he could begin on his adventure. How sad, that ‘airport security’ has become such a big part of our lives that it appears in a 9-year-old’s essay about traveling somewhere. We really are ‘locked in.’”
