2 Truthful Songs Played at Militarist Hoot’nanny

Writes Francis Bleyer:

Apparently, Bruce Springsteen, Dave Grohl, and Zac Brown are under fire from those who bow down to the altar of the Pentagon for daring to play the great song “Fortunate Son” at the so-called Concert for Valor.  Personally, I think this is a tribute to those who (like me) joined the military with “star-spangled eyes” only to realize that we weren’t really fighting for our country, but for the personal agendas of those in power.  Also, Metallica played “For Whom the Bell Tolls,” which is another great anti-war song.
