Aloe vera is
a wonderful healing herb that is part of the lily family even though
most people think it is a cactus. It has been used for centuries
and was even found in Egyptian tombs.
Aloe is known
as a contact healer. It is very useful on burns. It is one of my
favorite remedies for almost any digestive issue from ulcers to
diarrhea. If you have crushed the gooey gel out of an aloe vera
leaf, you have seen its mucilaginic properties in lay terms,
anything gooey and slimy helps repair mucous membranes inside
or out. It contains chemical properties that allow it to penetrate
deeply and heal each layer it comes in contact with.
Aloe is a
gentle cleaner. In the dried, concentrated form, it is useful for
constipation. In the liquid form, it will gently clean the digestive
system while getting rid of parasites it is especially good
in small children for pinworms. It is one of my favorite remedies
for digestive upset in small children (and grown ups) if
it comes back up, it doesnt stain.
Aloe is a
great tonic herb that can be used for long periods of time with
no harmful effects. Aloe soothes and heals the stomach lining and
is very useful for acid reflux and GERD. Aloe will improve symptoms
of arthritis and diabetes. Aloe is slightly estrogenic and has been
used for centuries by women for hot flashes and for keeping the
skin looking young and beautiful. The Sanskrit name for aloe translates
to goddess.
One of the
most remarkable properties of aloe vera is its immune building properties.
It naturally increases infection fighting white blood cells. Aloe
contains special polysaccharides that help cells in the body communicate
better. This translates to building natural killer cell activity,
which destroys abnormal cells that if allowed to grow would cause
some disease state.
Aloe Arborescens
is a special aloe vera supplement combined with honey and alcohol
that has a remarkable reputation for boosting the immune system
so it can overcome advanced disease states. This specific form is
also being used preventively.
The Aloe Arborescens
recipe is based on the work of Father Romano Zago of Brazil. For
more detailed information, look him up on the internet or read his
book Cancer
Can Be Cured.
What we know
and can say about this formula is: it provides gentle cleansing
for the whole body; it promotes healthy blood, cardiovascular, colon
and immune system health; and it is 200% richer in phyotheraputic
compounds than regular aloe.
Regular aloe
vera is also a good animal remedy. Many people use it for ulcers
and diarrhea in horses.
Aloe has an
interesting property of increasing the absorption of any nutrient
mixed with it. Studies show a 200% boost of uptake in vitamin C
when mixed with aloe as compared to the uptake of the same vitamin
C mixed with water.
Note that
if the aloe is mixed with too much water or harmful additives, it
will not be effective as with any natural product, quality
counts.
