The National Journal reports some of the truth about the porno-tron and the dirty feel-ups, while acting as a transmission belt for the usual lies from Napolitano and Pistole. (Janet: her naked scanners "protect passenger privacy" and the gropes are "discreet.") However, the TSA is clearly anxious to make a deal with the pilots to sell out the people. But if airline workers--like Napolitano, Pistole, and other officials--are to be spared the police state while passengers are not, this will only increase anti-airline and anti-flying sentiment. On the other hand, as I once heard an ex-Republican congressman advocate, many fascisti want the airlines nationalized and travel restricted to officials, big businessmen, media stooges, and other corporate state types. All in the name of public safety, of course.
