Despite hundreds of cops dressed like G.I. Joe, the FBI, the state police, and Lord knows who else, it took all of them three hours to decide to send a robot equipped with a camera into the room where the shooter was, where they discovered that he had been dead all along. No word on how the robot was dressed.
It reminded me of how hundreds of cops with bullet-proof everything, probably even underwear, all carrying automatic weapons, surrounded the building at Virginia Tech "to establish a perimeter" while the madman/murderer took his good ole time shooting dozens of students. They established their "perimeter" but did nothing whatsoever to interfere with the crime. But damn, they looked really, really cool doing it.
