I always thought of former Mexican president Vicente Fox as a typical tool of the US. But he has shown himself to be a patriot. As a US-instigated drug war ravages Mexico, with more than 26,000 dead, the former president has argued for the one solution to Mexico's horrific killings. The former president writes against prohibition: "So, drug consumption is the responsibility of the person who consumes; of the family who is responsible for educating; and of the education system and the socioeconomic context. What we have to do is legalize the production, the sale and the distribution."
UPDATE from Dave Neu:
Yeah, and then out of the other side of his mouth comes the call for a National Police Force...sound familiar? I think your first impression was correct.
