As many economically-ignorant Americans are looking forward to the "progressive" Obama Health Care program that will kick in in 2014, the Brits are actually becoming progressive for a change. They're starting to realize that perhaps the individual does know more about what is subjectively good for his or her own health needs than the Nanny State. As usual, some British government representative whines that many NHS bureaucRATs might lose their jobs because of this new change. For the British people's sake, I sure hope so.
As I mention every time I write about the current "progressive" British health care system: If you haven't already read it, read Lives at Risk: Single-Payer National Health Insurance Around the World.
