Rachel Maddow, the Madame Defarge of MSNBC, is a one-note Johnnie these days: people who dislike the government may blow up a federal building AT ANY MOMENT, so get the Gulag ready. Now, no commissar has a sense of irony, but her constant invocation of the danger of "anti-government violence" always strikes me as odd. She is, after all, an ardent champion of government violence. And private crimes are always miniscule as compared to state ones.
