To understand more about the machinations of the central bank in recent years, read Robert D. Auerbach's Deception and Abuse at the Fed: Henry B. Gonzalez Battles Alan Greenspan's Bank. Professsor Auerbach is neither a libertarian nor an Austrian, but he knows where the Fed's bodies are buried, and he unearths them in good, amply-documented prose. When I worked for Ron Paul, who  also likes this book, I loved Henry Gonzalez. A left-populist opponent of the banksters, he was also a Kennedy assassination revisionist and later introduced an impeachment resolution against George H.W. Bush for his illegal aggression against Iraq. Gonzelez, for whom Auerbach worked, was a man. May he rest in peace.

Rep. Henry Gonzalez was also one of only 4 Congressmen from Texas that opposed draft registration when Jimmy Carter brought it back - Ron Paul being one of only 2 Texas Republican members. Also, Henry Gonzalez in 1991 exposed how much US taxpayers money went to bribe Gorbachev into backing the US resolution to invade Iraq ($7 billion) and how much we paid to China to abstain on the vote ($300 million -everything from China costs less).
