A few months ago, I wrote a negative blog about the firm VeriChip—a company which manufactures microchips for implanting in human beings for health (implanted medical records) and security (in lieu of company IDs) purposes. I recently came across an article that says that the company is developing a microchip that is to be used as an early warning system for many potential diseases (e.g., viruses). Just think of all the health costs that could be saved if each person could detect an oncoming illness when it could be "nipped in the bud" in its early stage. Here's a technology that Obama & Co. can promote to the sheeple in order to bring down our skyrocketing (thanks mostly to the government itself) costs. Surely no one would object to this terrific medical technology.
This all seems well and good except, being a conspiracy "nut" myself, I would like to point out that this same chip could—without our knowledge—also have manufactured into it more sinister properties vis-à-vis our government without our ever knowing about it. Remember the Bush Administration/telephone companies' customer records conspiracy a few years back?
And in more recent microchip implant news:
It seems a dentist has developed a microchip that can be implanted into a tooth. It's called I-Denti-Fied. The difference between this implant and a VeriChip implant is that the information itself is not stored in the chip but is relayed to a remote database. The inventor, Dr. Brunski, invented it for the same reasons that VeriChip invented their chips—for health (personal medical information storage) and security (in Dr. Brunski's case, the security was for microchipping a child in case the child is missing.)
My own opinion is that there is potential for good and bad in many human inventions. I personally would microchip my dog and would seriously consider microchipping my children (I've watched too many episodes of Forensic Files) if I had either. But because of the evil, inefficient institution of government that still is predominant in the world today, I know that eventually the government would outlaw private microchipping so that only the government would have the authority to microchip. That's when the Mark of the Bug would turn into the Mark of the Beast.
