Neocon to Anarcho-Capitalist

Writes Steve Kline:

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading your site over the last year and half. My perspective on the world has totally changed. I’ve gone from a neocon to an anarcho-capitalist. I’ve gone from wanting a revolution like that of 1776 to wanting a revolution in the style of Gandhi and MLK — one that wins based on ideas and not guns (not that there is anything wrong with owning a gun). Therefore, I think it is high time to practice more acts of civil disobedience. Over at Mish’s blog a campaign has started to buy red “End the Fed,” “Got Gold?” and other such stamps. Many of us are using these stamps on all personal communications, bill payments, checks, and dollars. All my checks and online payments have End the Fed on them. I’ve started stamping all of my dollar bills — which has gotten a few strange looks from people.

After seeing one of my $20 stamped my nine-year-old son asked what it was about. I explained that the Federal Reserve has destroyed our currency, etc., and by stamping my money I was making a statement to make more people aware of the issue. The next morning my son came downstairs to quite proudly show me his handiwork. It was a quarter on which he had written End the Fed in purple marker on it. It was perhaps my proudest moment as a parent.

I wanted to let you know this in the hopes that you would encourage the followers of your site and blog to begin stamping everything they can, especially their money, with End the Fed. While it may be illegal, we must be willing to sacrifice (and this is a pretty small one) if we want to see change.
