Using the grievances that old-fashioned Protestants have about crazed multicultiralism in their denominations, the neocon-founded and funded Institute on Religion and Democracy ("democracy" meaning neocon-directed US rule) seeks to blunt the mainstreamers' positions on war and peace. To the IRD, the real problem with theological liberals is their refusal to worship the US warfare state.
