The NEXT War?

For all those slobbering and drooling at the prospect of "preemptive" war on Yemen (isn't one already being waged?), I have a question: where would the soldiers come from? Aren't all, or nearly all, of the Army's combat brigades deployed in either Iraq of Afghanistan? Are there that many Marines who can be spared?

Or does that fact matter to the warmongers, who — like Lieberman — clearly believe that merely dropping bombs on people is effective. It is clearly warlike, and the U.S. Air Force doesn't have a lot to do right now. Trouble is, there's not much in Yemen to bomb, and the Saudis are busy bombing what they can. And large portions of that country, and southwest Saudi Arabia, are effectively out of the control of their respective central governments. If authorities in Riyadh and Sana'a cannot rule or pacify such people, what makes anyone in Washington think they can?

Oh, right. Washington, D.C. is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. God incarnate on earth. I forgot.
