Karen, good for Wal-Mart! I also like the wooden caskets handmade by the Trappist monks in Iowa. I was influenced at an early age by Jessica Mitford's expose, The American Way of Death. But the best book on the funeral industry remains Evelyn Waugh's hilarious novel, The Loved One. The movie isn't too bad, either.
