I'd like to share a recent news story that resulted from one of my cases (I am a public defender in the People's Republic of Portland, Oregon).  It shows you why you can't trust mega-corporations in this mixed economy any more than you can trust the government.

I, for one, haven't used FedEx since I read the police reports in this case several months ago, and would encourage LRC readers to do the same.  It is a sad commentary on FedEx that the U.S. Postal Service offers greater privacy protections than a private corporation.
