Rothbardianism might be described as Austrian economics and libertarianism plus populism, the struggle for freedom and prosperity against the state-establishment combine. Though Frank Rich hasn’t been truly interesting since George Bush moved to Dallas, his hate and fear of the people couldn’t be clearer in his latest column. Rich worries, and well he might, about popular anger against the combination of Bush-Obamaism and Goldman Sachs-Morgan Stanleyism. Note his concern about the tropes that Glenn Beck is making so much hay with. Rich speaks for the state-connected wealthy, and the wealthy-connected state, and you can see the beads of sweat popping out on his forehead. Oh, and note his slam against Ron Paul.
