Neocon Tony Blankley is going around Washington saying that the US should cut and run in Afghanistan. He even hints at it publicly. Now Tony has no concern for hecatombs of murdered gooks, anymore than LBJ did. Nor does he care about thousands of Southern kids coming back without their legs or minds, to the single-payer VA. He is a Republican partisan, and this is Obama's war, but I think more is going on. The power elite remembers Vietnam as a defeat for the US state. Indeed, with troop mutinies in Vietnam and mass demos here, it was almost a revolutionary moment. So, Tony, repeat after me: "One, two, three, four, We don't want your f___ war. Five, six, seven, eight, Organize and smash the state."

He probably wants these troops available for Iran. Lots of partisans of Israel opposed Iraq (or came to oppose it) because they saw it detracting from the real war, i.e. Iran. Blankley is in that category, I think.
