Is Opposition To Healthcare Reform Genuine?

Contrary to the onslaught of reports from the media and politicians, there is a significant amount of opposition to socialized medicine among regular Americans. Here's a recent poll that breaks down the numbers and finds:

When respondents were presented with the three scenarios, 43% of respondents found the “public health insurance plan” appealing compared to 44% for the Medicare-like plan and 39% for the single-payer option. The differences between the three options fell within the margin of error.

Additionally, about a quarter to a third of the respondents was "neutral" towards each plan and the remaining third or quarter was opposed. How is that for a mandate?
