How Dare the Russians Not Bow to Obama

On MSNBC’s Morning Joe, there were complaints today about the lack of prominence given to Obama in Russia. Why, he was photographed in the background in some instances. Worse, when Medvedev and he shook hands with a group of Russians, they mostly wanted to shake their own president’s hand. Time to go to DefCon 2. Since the US thinks it rules the globe by divine right, there is no thought given to a similar situation in the US. Would Americans mostly want to shake the Russian president’s hand, or Obama’s? Then there is the constant fun made of Putin. Why, there is no way to tell who is in charge. What a primitive country, where a figure with a secondary title might actually be the key person! Can you imagine it? No mention of Cheney, of course. Oh, and that stick-in-the-mud Medvedev still has a Cold War mentality. He was raised in Soviet days. Therefore he unprogressively objects to US military encirclement of Russia, with Georgia and Ukraine next joining Nato. Would any Americans feel odd about Russia enlisting Canada and Mexico in a military pact? That would be cause for war, of course, but Russia must accept the US boot on its neck. Independence? That’s Cold War thinking.
