Ahmadinejad probably did win in a landslide, as Flynt Leverett points out. Paul Craig Roberts too. (Not that elections confer the right to coerce the losing side, of course.) And there is indeed an air of CIA-color revolution to the demos. If I were an Iranian--an arrogant assumption, to be sure--I would want a less oppressive regime, but fear a US takeover in the Ukraine, etc. fashion. On the other hand, as a better red (white and blue) than dead guy, I'd take that over being nuked by the US and Israel for daring to be independent.
