I think the New York Times, along with everybody else, could just rerun this heading every day and you'd have the news covered. “This isn’t anything crazy,” he [Geithner] added. “This is exactly what the Treasury Department needs to deal with things like A.I.G.”
Yet all the plastic patriots 'round the land are outraged(!) that principled Constitutionalists, libertarians, and non-socialists don't want Geithner, Obama, & Co. to "succeed" at their revolutionary socialization of the financial system. They insist that we support our thieves like we support our troops. Come on, be a good citizen, support your oppressors, and stop saying you hope that they fail. We should, in an honorable non-partisan way, wish them all success in transferring power from congress to the Fed and Treasury, and we should hope that Geithner is successful in permanently empowering Wall Street by redistributing wealth to its power brokers from middle America. Some day they'll wake up to the fact that it's not about political partisanship; there are people who actually have some grasp of what is really at stake.
